Editing Modes
Different methods used in video editing, such as Assemble Editing and Insert Editing.
Assemble Editing
A method where clips are sequentially arranged in a linear order, adding new clips to the end.
Insert Editing
A technique where one clip is overlaid on another, effectively 'inserting' the new footage.
Transition
The technique used to change from one shot or scene to another, including cuts and fades.
Dissolve
A transition where two shots overlap, blending one into the next over time.
Fade
A gradual transition from an image to black or vice versa, often used at the beginning or end of scenes.
Wipe
A transition in which one shot is replaced by another in a geometric pattern.
Non-Linear Editing (NLE)
Editing approach that allows for manipulation of video in any order, enabling easy changes and adjustments.
Special Effects
Illusions created in video production, divided into physical effects (created on-set) and visual effects (post-production manipulation).
Green Screen
A large green backdrop used to shoot characters, allowing for the background to be replaced with another video.
Computer Generated Imagery (CGI)
Visual content created through computer graphics, including 3D models and animations.
Dubbing
