Battle of Britain
Aerial battle fought primarily over Britain between the German Luftwaffe and the British Royal Air Force (RAF).
Battle of Stalingrad
A major battle on the Eastern Front of World War II where Nazi Germany and its allies fought the Soviet Union for control of the city of Stalingrad.
D-Day
The Allied invasion of Normandy, France, on June 6, 1944, marking the start of the campaign to liberate Western Europe from Nazi occupation.
Battle of the Bulge
The last major German offensive campaign on the Western Front during World War II, launched in the Ardennes region.
Battle of Midway
A decisive naval battle in the Pacific Theater of World War II; a strategic American victory.
Battles of Iwo Jima & Okinawa
Battles fought on these islands. They were key in the US strategy to gain bases close enough to launch an invasion of Japan.
Hiroshima and Nagasaki
The US dropped atomic bombs causing immense destruction and leading to Japan's surrender, ending World War II.

The systematic, state-sponsored persecution and murder of six million Jews by the Nazi regime and its collaborators.
