Tire Treads

A half-inch bar manufactured into tires that becomes visible when the tread wear is unsafe.

Cupping

A type of abnormal tread wear where the tread wears on the leading edge, causing a curved indentation.

Feathering

Tread wear caused by alignment issues, occurring when the tire is not rolling straight in the direction of travel.

Improper Tire Pressure

Conditions that result from underinflation or overinflation, leading to uneven tread wear.

Run-flat Tire

Tires made with steel-reinforced sidewalls that can be driven for a limited distance with low tire pressure.

Heavy Duty Truck Tires

Tires made with hard rubber compound featuring many plies and belts for carrying heavy loads.
