Print Spooler

Manages print jobs in Windows. Starts at startup, processes jobs, and sends to the printer when ready.

Print Driver

Software that translates print data for your printer. Keeps updated for compatibility and fixes.

Finish Spooling

Spooler sends print job to the printer when it’s ready.

Print Queue

Holds jobs if the printer isn't ready. First come, first serve; stored on hard drive.

Print Device

Physical or virtual printer (like PDF). Common types: 3D, laser, inkjet, thermal.

Unbox the Printer

Carefully unpack, check contents, download drivers if missing.

Printer Location

Clean, flat surface near computer and power outlet. Centralized if networked.
