Used for big sheets on plywood; good for effiencey; has a lip to be square

Speed Square

For 2 × 4s; used for roofs by carpenters

Chalk Line

Orange 1st, blue 2nd (for editing/corrections); straight lines; coat string again by shaking; will need refills

Level

To keep things straight (horizontal and vertical); the tubes have oil inside

Bullet/Torpedo Level

Magnetic, sticks to things

Line Level

Put on lines/strings using small hooks; tiny; for measuring giant objects

Compass

2’6”; uses radius to measure circle; draws with chalk

Trammel Points

Prof. Meg’s favorite tool; used to make large circles; attach stick to clamp; can attack pencils to draw outlines

Laser Measure

Red laser; measures large spaces (usually for scenic design)
