Originated in the Asia Minor. A horned breed with droopy ears. Valued for mohair fleece. Less prolific than others.

Cashmere

Originated in the middle east. Has a regal appearance, and a long and sweeping horn. They do not tend to jump and are valued for its cashmere fleece.

Originated in Western Africa. Hair is agouti colored, and is considered a meat breed.

Originated in Spain, with fleece up to 14lbs and has wool on shanks and wool blindness.

Originated in France. White with long wool, excellent mothering, and is a predominant fine wool breed in the US.

FinnSheep

Originated in Finland. Fine boned, light muscled, small breed and slow growers. Highly prolific and has strong maternal instincts

Dorset

Originated in England. The "True dual purpose breed". Has an excellent conformation, carcass, prolific, and excellent mothering

Katahdin

Originated in the Caribbean and British Islands. A low maintenance animal with great lamb vigor and mothering ability

Dorper

Originated in South africa. It is heat tolerant, and bred to produce a high quality carcass under extensive conditions. Has rapid weight gain, excellent carcass conformation, and excellent fat distribution.

Black with white belt around the body. Short legged and lack body thickness. Adaptable to very rugged conditions and not strong in litter size and mothering ability.

Poland China

Gains readily under conditions of good care and management. Very quiet and rugged, known for having substantial bone and being sound in its feet and legs. Color is black with white points.

Berkshire

Black with 6 white points. Known for style, meatiness and good adaptability. Lacks good growth efficiency in converting feed to weight gain. Not as prolific as other breeds.

Tamworth

Known as an acorn eater. A "bacon type" hog.
