Using quadrats, how do you determine the number of organisms in a 10m² field?
Find the average number of organisms in one quadrat - if it is 0.25m², multiply it by 4 to get a 1m² area (to do this, add the numbers of organisms counted in each quadrat together and divide by the number of quadrats taken) then multiply by 100
Calculation median with quadrats
Place all of the numbers in ascending order and find the number in the middle
In transect sampling, what graph is used to display the results?
Kite graph
If there are 6, 8, 2, 10 and 7 organisms in five quadrats, how many organisms are there on average?
6+8+2+10+7=33
33/5=6.6
Round up to 7
