The OneCORE
An organization founded in 2009 by Pia Acevedo and Pia Magalona where 'One' refers to prioritizing oneself first, and 'CORE' refers to the values, principles, and beliefs that ground an individual.
Inner Work
The process of laying a foundation for finding clarity through self-mastery, self-development, and self-commitment.
MICK
An acronym representing the foundational habit of Inner Work: Motivating ourselves, Inspiring ourselves, Cheering for ourselves, and being Kind to ourselves.
Five Aspects of Life
The five essential dimensions of balance defined in The OneCORE Guiding Principles: Self, Family, Social Life, Career, and Sense of Purpose.
Self-Mastery
The practice of prioritizing an understanding of who one truly is and staying plugged in to what is new about oneself as one grows and matures.
Self-Development
A deep awakening and process beyond initial self-awareness that involves respecting, caring for, nurturing, and changing aspects of oneself over time.
Self-Commitment
A continuous devotion and decision to invest in oneself and stay the course toward clarity and life's purpose despite uncertainty.
Doing It Until
The principle of staying the course and remaining patient with one's personal process until arriving at the clarity being sought.
The Clarity Framework
A structured three-step process designed to help individuals arrive at the best decisions by determining what is clear, identifying obstacles, and representing that clarity through action.
Authentic Self
A genuine, truthful, and honest representation of who an individual is in different aspects of life through their words, expressions, and actions.
Discover Your Core
A two-day program created by Coach Pia Acevedo that introduces frameworks for clarifying priorities and personal mastery.
Anaphylactic Shock
A severe allergic reaction causing airways to close, experienced by Coach Pia Acevedo on January 1, 2004, at age 30, which led to a near-death experience.
