being between two structures - middle finger

Farther to point of attachment

toward or on the body or surface

away from surface of body

Supine

lying face up on back

Prone

lying face down on stomach

Midsaggital Plane

seperates body into equal left and right

Parasaggital Plane

Seperates body into unequal left and right

Frontal/Coronal Plane

Vertical plane the seperates into anterior and posterior sections

Tranverse/Cross/Horizontal Plane

Divideds body into superior and inferior portions
