New World Continents
The group of continents comprising North America, South America, Antarctica, and Australia.
North America
The third largest continent in the world with an area of 24.2 million km2, located between latitudes 7.30∘N and 83∘N and longitudes 10∘W and 168∘W.
South America
The fourth largest continent in the world with an area of 17.8 million km2, located between latitudes 12∘N and 56∘S and longitudes 35∘W and 81∘W.
Antarctica
The fifth largest continent in the world with an area of 12.3 million km2, situated at the extreme south of the Earth and currently unpopulated due to its frozen state.
Australia
The smallest (seventh) continent in the world with an area of 7.6 million km2, located between latitudes 10∘S and 44∘S and longitudes 113∘E and 178∘E.
Panama Canal
A major strategic waterway opened in $1914$ connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, which significantly shortened maritime travel distances.

An ancient civilization that emerged in the New World, specifically in North America.
Inca Civilization
An ancient civilization that emerged in the New World, specifically in South America.
Appalachian Mountains
A major mountain range located in the eastern part of North America.
Rocky Mountains
A major mountain range located in the western part of North America, known for its mineral wealth.
Andes Mountains
A major mountain range located along the western side of South America.
Great Dividing Range
A mountain range located in Australia.
Labrador Plateau
A plateau located in the North American continent.
Brazilian Plateau
A plateau located in South America.
Western Plateau
A large plateau located in the western part of Australia.
Arafura Sea
A sea located to the north of the Australian continent.
