Decimals to fractions
The process of converting a decimal value into its equivalent fraction form.
Equation of a line
The algebraic representation of a straight line, which includes understanding parallel and perpendicular lines.
Angles in quadrilateral
Geometric study of the internal angles within a four-sided polygon.
Frequency trees
A diagram used to represent the frequencies of different categories and their sub-categories.
Direct and Inverse proportion
Mathematical relationships between two variables, including the interpretation of graphs of proportionality.
Averages from a table
Calculating the Mode, median, and mean from data presented in a frequency table.
Averages from a list
Calculating basic statistical measures (Mode, median, and mean) from a series of individual values.
Product of prime factors
A method of expressing a composite number as a product of its prime components.
Expanding brackets
An algebraic process to remove parentheses, specifically including the expansion of triple brackets.
Volume
The measurement of the three-dimensional space occupied by an object.
Distance/time graphs
Graphs used to interpret movement by showing how far an object travels over a specific period of time.
Velocity time graphs
Graphs that represent the speed and direction of an object's motion over time.
Trigonometry
The study of relationships between sides and angles of triangles, including the use of exact values.
Angle proof
The use of mathematical reasoning and geometric theorems to prove the properties of angles.
Money problems
Mathematical calculations involving financial contexts and currency.
Algebraic fractions
Fractions in which the numerator, denominator, or both contain algebraic expressions.
Percentages
A number or ratio expressed as a fraction of 100.
Nth term of a linear sequence
An algebraic rule used to find any term in a sequence that increases or decreases by a constant difference.
Transformations
The movement or resizing of shapes, including reflections, rotations, translations, and transformations of trigonometric graphs.
Area
The measurement of the space inside a two-dimensional shape, specifically including the area of a circle.
Standard form
A system of writing very large or very small numbers using powers of 10.
Simultaneous equations
A set of equations with multiple variables that are solved at the same time to find a common solution.
Calculations with decimals
Performing arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) using decimal numbers.
Forming expressions
Translating written information or geometric problems into algebraic statements.
Vectors
Quantities that possess both magnitude (size) and direction.
Indices
Numbers or variables representing powers or exponents.
Solving identities
Working with algebraic equations that are true for every possible value of the variables.
Surds
Square roots that cannot be simplified into whole numbers or fractions, including the process to rationalise the denominator.
Changing the subject of a formula
Rearranging an algebraic equation to make a different variable the isolated term.
Cumulative frequency graphs
A graph illustrating the running total of frequencies across different data intervals.
Histograms
A graphical representation of data using bars of different heights and widths where the area represents frequency.
Scatter graphs
Plots displaying values for two variables for a set of data, used to identify correlations including the line of best fit.
