Sinus Bradycardia
is a condition where the heart rate is less than 60 beats per minute, originating from the sinus node. This can be physiological, such as in athletes, or pathological due to underlying cardiac conditions.
Calcium Channel Blocker
Eg. Verapamil and Diltiazem, these medications reduce heart rate and are used to treat hypertension and other cardiac conditions.
Angiotensin-receptor blocker (ARB)
Eg. Losartan, these medications are used to treat hypertension and heart failure by blocking the action of angiotensin II.
Vasodilator
Eg. Nitroglycerin, these medications help to relax and widen blood vessels, which decreases blood pressure and improves blood flow, commonly used in conditions like heart failure and angina.
Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE)
Eg. Enalapril, these medications inhibit the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, thereby lowering blood pressure and reducing strain on the heart.
