Skeletal Traction

Uses pins directly drilled into the bone distal to the site of affection as attachment for traction.

Crutchfield Tong

For cervical spine affection inserted on the parietal bone of the skull.

Gardner Well's Tong

For cervical spine affection inserted on the temporal bone of the skull for better stability.

Halo Traction

With 4 pins/screws sites for cervical spine affection.

Halo-Femoral Traction

For severe scoliosis. 4 pins/screws on the skull 2 Steinman pin on bilateral femur.

Halo-Pelvic Traction

For scoliosis. Patient is ambulatory.

Over-Head Traction

For Supracondylar fracture of the humerus. Pin is inserted in the olecranon, hence also called Olecranon Traction.

90-90 Traction

For proximal femur affection (specifically sub-trochanteric area).

Balanced Skeletal Traction

For affection of the hip and femur.

Skin Adhesive Traction

Uses plasters, spreaders, and other adhesive materials as attachment for traction.

Zero Degree Traction

For shoulder dislocation, humeral neck fracture , surgical neck fracture.

Dunlop Traction

For supracondylar fracture of the humerus.

Bryant's Traction

For 2 years old below; For congenital hip dislocation, fracture of the hip and femur.

Buck's Extension Traction

For fracture of the hip, hip dislocation, fracture of the femur (Place a pillow underneath the leg, free the heel part of the pillow).

Skin Non Adhesive Traction

Uses canvass, straps, and slings as attachment for traction.

Head Halter Traction

For cervical spine affection. Patient is place in a cervical bed.

Pelvic Girdle Traction

For HNP, low back pain, (Placed patient on a Trendelenburg position; must use curve bar, 2 weight bags; with 2-3 pillows under the thigh).

Cortel Traction

For scoliosis; combination of head halter traction and pelvic girdle traction.

Hammock Suspension

For pelvic affection.

Special Traction

Modified tractions that may be commercially prepared, or combination of different gadgets.

Foam Traction

With same indication as Buck's Extension; Modified buck's extension traction using commercially prepared foam.

Bohler Braun Splint

For tibial plateau fracture (Pin is inserted at the calcaneal bone). Can also be used to elevate the lower extremity.

Boot Cast Traction

For patient with hip and knee contracture (ex. Post-polio with hip and knee contracture).

Cast

Externally applied structure that holds bone in position. Device made of layers of plasters, bandages, fiberglass and other non-plaster materials.

Short Arm Circular Cast (SACC)

For wrist and/or carpals and metacarpals affection.

Long Arm Circular Cast (LACC)

For radius-ulna and/or elbow fracture.

Short Arm Posterior Mold

For wrist and/ or finger affection with wound, infection and/or swelling.

Long Arm Posterior Mold

For radius-ulna and/or elbow Fracture with wound, infection and/or swelling.

Munster or Fuenster cast

For the affection of radius-ulna with callus formation.

Functional Cast

For proximal humerus with callus formation.

Sugar Tong

For compound /open fracture of the humerus.

Shoulder Spica Cast

For Upper portion of the humerus including shoulder joint.

Minerva Cast

For upper dorsal and cervical spine; for scoliosis and Pott's disease.

Short Leg Circular Cast

For ankle and/ or tarsal affection.

Long Leg Circular Cast

For tibia-fibula affection.

Short Leg Posterior Mold (SLPM)

For ankle and/ or tarsal Affection with wound, Infection and/or swelling.

Long Leg Posterior Mold (LLPM)

For tibia-fibula affection with wound, Infection and/or swelling.

Cylinder Cast

For patellar affection.

1 ½ HIP SPICA CAST

For fracture of the hip and femur( one leg only; cast is with abduction bar; Leg slightly flexed; Positioning/Turning of patient will be towards the unaffected side).

DOUBLE HIP SPICA CAST

For bilateral fracture of the hip and femur.

FROG CAST

For congenital hip dislocation.

PANTALON CAST

For pelvic fracture from Hammock Suspension traction.

ISCHIAL WEIGHT BEARING CAST/QUADRILATERAL CAST

For fracture of the hip and Femur with callus formation.

PATELLAR TENDON BEARING CAST (PTB)

Modified LLCC for mobilization Purposes; for tibia-fibula affection with callus formation (can be modified with walker For weight bearing ambulation).

CAST BRACE OR HINGE KNEE

For supracondylar fracture of the femur with callus formation; and for proximal tibia with callus formation.

BRACE

Medical device made of rigid materials such as hard plastics, metal, leather, and soft materials such as spandex, fabrics, Velcro or straps designed to support, maintain good body alignment and address musculoskeletal issues.

Shantz Collar

For cervical affection.

PHILADELPHIA COLLAR

For cervical affection; with chin part to restrict more movement of the patient.

4-POSTER BRACE

For cervical affection (specifically lower spine) and upper tho spine affection.

CHAIRBACK BRACE

For lumbo-sacral spine affection, HNP, low back pain.

KT BRACE (KNIGHT TAYLOR)

For thoraco-lumbar or Thoracic spine, Pott's Disease, Kyphosis spine deformity.

FORESTER BRACE

For cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine.

S.O.M.I BRACE

Sterno-Occipito-Mandibular Immobilizer. For cervical spine affection, prevents flexion, Hyperextension and side to side Movement of neck.

YAMAMOTO BRACE

For scoliosis (Until mid axillary level only), lower thoracic level.

MILWAUKEE BRACE

For scoliosis (Extended up to thin chin, with occiput support), Upper thoracic and lumbar).

BANJO SPLINT

For peripheral nerve injury; and fracture of radius-ulna with nerve injury.

WRIST STRAP/COCK UP SPLINT

To prevent wrist drop.

DENISE BROWN SHOES

For congenital anomaly specifically Club Foot (Talipes Equinovarus).

UNILATERAL LONG LEG BRACE

For post-polio with residual paralysis with one leg only.

BILATERAL LONG LEG BRACE

For post-polio with residual paralysis affecting both legs.
