What is a confederation?
A loose alliance of nations.
What are three modern examples of confederation and why were they formed?
United Nations (for peace)

Why are confederations inherently flawed?
Confederations are flawed. They must prioritize the group before individuals. They break down once individuals prioritize themselves. The nations need civic virtue.
What is a wartime government?
Wartime government (a government made during times of war). A hastily made government made during times of war in order to help win it.
How does a wartime government relate to the US?
They made a government during times of war to help gain independence.
How many votes does Congress have and what is this called?
Congress has one vote. This is called equal representation; they all have the same amount of power and votes.
What is a one house legislature called?
Unicameral; a legislature with one house.
What is a two house legislature called?
A bicameral legislature; a legislature with two houses (upper and lower house).
What is a constitution?
An instruction manual to lay out the powers and limitations of the government.
What is a simple majority?
One more than half; the lowest majority you can get.
What is a super majority?
It’s when some number greater than a simple majority (one more than half) is required.
Real example: In Football, you need at least 24 owners to to vote to change the rule.
