Political Decision/Politisk beslutning

Actions taken within governmental settings to formulate, adopt, implement, evaluate, or change environmental policies.

Ideology/Ideologi

A system of ideas and ideals, especially one which forms the basis of economic or political theory and policy.

Nationalistic/Nasjonalistisk

Having or expressing strong identification with one's own nation and vigorous support for its interests, especially to the exclusion or detriment of the interests of other nations.

Democracy/Democrti

A way of governing which depends on the will of the people.

Indirect Democracy

Representatives are voted into office and make decisions on behalf of the people and also voice their opinions and aspirations.

Direct Democracy

All people come together and make laws and decisions together rather than a representative doing it for them.

Executive Power/Utøvende makt

The power to execute laws.

Opposition

One or more political parties or other organized groups that are opposed, primarily ideologically, to the government.

Political Dividing Line/Politisk skillelinje

A divide is a significant distinction between two groups, often one that causes conflict.

Parlimentary System/Parlamentarisk system

A democratic form of government in which the party with the greatest representation in the parliament forms the government, its leader becoming prime minister or chancellor.

The Storting/Stortinget

Norway's national assembly. It consists of 169 representatives elected from 19 electoral districts. According to Section 49 of the Constitution, the ---- is "the people's" instrument for exercising legislative power. Elections are held every four years.

Income and wealth is the transfer of income and wealth from some individuals to others through a social mechanism such as taxation, welfare, public services, land reform, monetary policies, confiscation, divorce or tort law.

A form of government in which one person or a small group possesses absolute power without effective constitutional limitations.

Compromise

Compromise is a agreement or decision between two or more people where each person get something to a certain extent that they want out of a thing or a situation.

The government makes a budget that only "Storting" or the government in power can confirm.

Controlling Power/Kontrollerende makt

The effective power used to direct the Company's activities and to establish the guidelines for the operation of its management bodies, directly or indirectly, in fact or under the law, regardless of the equity interest that is held.

Rule of Law/Rettsstat

The restriction of the arbitrary exercise of power by subordinating it to well-defined and established laws.

Common Goods/Fellesgoder

What is shared and beneficial for all or most members of a given community, or alternatively, what is achieved by citizenship, collective action, and active participation

Minority Government/Mindretallsregjering

A government in which the governing party has most seats but still less than half the total.

Conflict of Values/Verdikonflikt

When two or more parties involved have a clash of what they see as ideal or have a clash of opinions.

Local Self-government/Lokalt selvstyre

Residents in towns, villages and rural settlements are the hosts in their own home. People elect local councils and their heads authorising them to solve the most important issues.

Socialism

A political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.

Legislative Power/Lovgivende makt

The power to make and change laws in a country or place of power.

Algorithms

A program that decides different articles you get on social platforms.
