treatment: anti-fungal cream/spray, pill

Boils and Carbuncles

symptoms: raised red bump
treatment: antibiotics, antibacterial cream

Cold Sores

-caused by virus; aka herpes simplex 1
symptoms: little fluid filled blisters, itchy, painful
treatment: antiviral pill, cream

Ring Worm

-caused by fungal infection
symptoms: itchy, circle, scaley
treatment: anti fungal cream

Contact Dermatitis

-exposure cause allergic reaction
symptoms: itchy, raised red bumps, can blister
treatment: antihistamine, Benadryl, cortisone

Impetigo

-caused by bacterial infection
symptoms: scab, itchy, usually on face
treatment: antibacterial cream, antibiotics

Psoriasis

-cause unknown, can be genetic, triggered by trauma, infection, stress
symptoms: layered patches of skin, raw
treatment: cream to help with soreness

MRSA

-Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus
Bacterial infection
medicine w/ "cillin" in it isn't effective
symptoms: pimple, red around like sunburn, hot to touch, misdiagnosed as a spider bite, can make you septic
treatment: special antibiotics that will kill it
