ensuring that the participant is giving all the information of a study/experiment before consenting to it

ensuring the participant wont be physically or mentally harmed in the study

the participant can leave the study at any time with no consequences

you cant lie to participants or manipulate them into being a part of the experiment
privacy and confidentiality
all data collected from the study is not shared publicly, the participant name is left anonymous e.g. with a participant number
at the end of a study what must you do
debrief the participants on the results and what fully happened
ask if they still want to be part of the experiment
offer counselling to everyone who took part
