what is IoT?

intelligent interaction between humans and devices to create new value and is controlled remotely using internet

what is the goal of IoT?

integrate the physical world with computer-based systems, which makes processes more efficient and accurate

3-step IoT process

1) Sensing: IoT devices collect data about the physical world (ex: temp)

2) Transmission: data is transmitted over networks to cloud servers or other devices

3) Analysis: data is analyzed by humans or machines to enable decision-making, automation, or insights

When personal data has been compromised by data breaches - term comes from gaming culture

GDPR (general data protection regulation)
