Six Sigma
Focuses on the production/planning process so is limited in its approach
Reliance on analysis of data from before and after which needs to be completed so that success can be measured
Can be costly
Can use a lot of resources, and tends to be used at team/organisational level rather than focusing on individuals
PRINCE
Requires a variety of documentation that needs to be constantly updated, which may not appeal to all users of the tool
Constant updates can mean that management is not as involved as it may like to be due to the amount of time required by updating
Agile
Time-consuming due to the changes that can be made at any point
Individuals within the team could get lost in the constant changes that can occur in terms of the plan.
Limited paperwork/documentation, which some team members may not like.
It is difficult to measure in terms of progress when the process is constantly being revised.
SCRUM
Does not have a definitive end date, which some users may find frustrating
If team members are not committed, the project could fail.
Adopting for a large team can be a real challenge. It is best suited to small teams
Daily meetings can be frustrating for the team
If a team member leaves, it can have a negative impact on the process and success of the project. It also means that a new individual needs to be found with the right skills to join the team.
