how does oestrogen reduce fertility
It prevents the release of a egg. This is because if oestrogen is takne every day then it inhibits the production of FSH then production of eggs stop
how does progesterone stop fertility
It stimulates the production of thick mucus which prevents any sperm getting through tp the egg.
what is a contraceptive patch
A patch which contains oestrogen and progesterone which is stuck to the skin and lasts for a week
what is a contraceptive implant
its inserted under the skin of the arm. It releases a continuous amount of progesterone which stops the ovaries releasing eggs making it hard for the sperm to swim to the egg stopping any fertilised egg implanting in the uterus. Any implant can last 3 years

Involves collecting eggs from the womens ovaries and fertilising them in a lab using the mans sperm
