What did globalization cause for culture?

Created ability to diffuse culture around world at high speeds through cultural artifacts like films/music

Contaminated water, no access to health care, diseases spread more bc of conditions, Malaria, tropical environments, especially in Africa

Impoverished lives are closely, airborne disease, transmitted east

transmitted through water, causes vomiting/dehydration, no access to clean water if impoverished

WWI ended, soldiers were infected with a strain of flu and brought it back. Killed many people worldwide, 1/5 of pop infected

HIV caused AIDS, Aids depressed person immune system/kills them, spread through bodily fluids, 25 mil died from this, treatment to help w/ aids

don’t spread as easily, devastating death rate, half people infected died, 1976 outbreak in congo, outbreak in West Africa
