Do you like go to the cinemas at weekends?
Yes, definitely. I find going to the cinema a lovely way to unwind after a busy week, especially when I want to immerse myself in a good story rather than spend the evening scrolling aimlessly online.
Who do you go with? Alone or with others?
Usually with my family, but I do enjoy going alone from time to time. There's something quite liberating about having the freedom to choose exactly what I want to watch and simply enjoy my own company.
What do you enjoy doing most on weekends?
I really enjoy having a quiet study date with myself at a café. I'll usually meditate, journal for a while and then get some studying done—it gives me a sense of structure without making my weekend feel overly regimented.
Are you planning to do anything special next weekend?
Yes, I'm planning to visit Vung Tau. I'm really looking forward to a change of scenery and a chance to temporarily escape the usual rhythm of studying and everyday responsibilities.
What kinds of activities do you often do in your spare time?
I tend to watch films, browse the internet and occasionally fall down a rabbit hole of whatever happens to catch my attention. I'm quite eclectic in what I consume, so it can range from films to random educational content.
How do you often relax yourself on weekends?
I usually take a leisurely stroll through the park and immerse myself in nature. Being away from screens for a while helps me decompress and gives me a much-needed mental reset.
How do your surrounding friends relax?
My friends tend to be much more sociable than I am. They usually listen to music, meet up with friends or go to concerts, whereas I generally prefer something quieter and more solitary.
Do you often have free time?
At the moment, yes—I have quite a lot of it because I'm on summer vacation. I'm actually trying to make the most of it, although having too much unstructured time can occasionally make me feel a little adrift.
Which day do you have more free time on, Saturday or Sunday?
Saturday, without a doubt. Sundays tend to feel like a transitional day for me because I'm already thinking about the week ahead, whereas Saturday feels much more open-ended.
Would you like to have more free time in the future?
Not really. I actually think too much free time can become rather tedious. I'd prefer to have a well-balanced schedule where I have enough downtime without feeling like I'm stagnating.
What free-time activities are popular with people in your country?
Café-hopping is incredibly popular, as is going out for a nice meal or taking photos at photobooths. I think people particularly enjoy activities that allow them to socialise while also creating something they can share online.
Who do you usually spend your spare time with?
Mostly my family and a small circle of close friends. I'm fairly selective about who I spend my free time with, because I value meaningful interactions more than simply being surrounded by people.
What's your favourite free-time activity when you were a child?
I absolutely loved playing with my miniature kitchen set. I'd spend hours pretending to cook and creating little scenarios around it, so I suppose that was one of my earliest outlets for creativity.
Do you prefer to do free-time activities alone or with other people?
Generally alone. I find solitude quite restorative, and having some time to myself allows me to recharge without having to accommodate anyone else's schedule or preferences.
Is there an activity you would like to try in the future?
Definitely—I'd love to try hiking, skydiving and snorkelling. I'm particularly drawn to activities that push me slightly beyond my comfort zone and give me a genuine sense of adventure.
