The literary device of giving human qualities to non-human things, such as saying the "Sun is smiling".
Conciseness
A writing technique that does not waste words and relies on fewer words.
Concreteness
The use of specific words that describe things you can see, hear, smell, and touch to make writing vivid and believable for readers.
Odes
A formal poetic form that praises a person, object, or idea and uses specific rhyme and meter.
Free verse
A poetic form that does not follow strict rules, emphasizes freedom in form, mirrors how people really talk and think, and sounds honest, modern, and personal.
