Arena Stage or In the Round

a performance space in which the audience sits all around the stage

Thrust Stage

a stage that extends into the auditorium so that the audience is seated around three sides.

Traverse Stage

A stage in which the audience is seated on two sides of the acting area. Seats are often raked.

Proscenium Stage

a performance space in which the audience views the action as if through a picture frame

Promenade theatre

Audience follows the action on foot, moving from one location to another

responsible for and manages the front of house team who deal with the audience during production
