Health Care Team

Collaborative group of professionals who work interdependently with patients and their families to provide comprehensive, coordinated, high-quality care with the primary goal of improving patient health outcomes and safety.

Doctors/Physician

Main members of the healthcare team. Diagnose, treat, and prevent disease. Primary care doctors handle general health concerns, while specialists focus on specific illnesses or body systems.

Physician Assistant

Provide medical care under the supervision of a doctor. Perform physical exams, diagnose illnesses, give treatment, and assist in surgeries.

Nurse

Take care of patients by checking their health, giving medicines, and assisting doctors during treatments. Communicate with patients and families, explain recovery and good health, and provide comfort, compassion, and continuous care.

Pharmacists

Experts in medicine. Prepare and give the correct drugs prescribed by doctors. Teach patients how to use them properly and ensure medications are safe and effective. Help prevent harmful side effects or drug interactions.

Emotional, Social, and Spiritual Support Providers

Social workers, counselors, and chaplains who help patients and their families cope with stress, fear, or grief. Provide emotional guidance, comfort, and encouragement during difficult times, supporting mental and spiritual well-being.

Administrative and Support Staff
