Biopsychological Approach
A perspective in psychology that proposes behavior is influenced by physiological processes.

Deterministic
The belief that behavior is determined by biological factors.
Familial transmission
The passing of mental health disorders through genetic inheritance.
Therapeutic interventions
Methods, including medications and therapies, used to treat mental illnesses.
Cognitive Dissonance
The mental discomfort experienced when holding contradictory beliefs or values.
Social Learning Theory
A theory that suggests behavior is learned through observing and imitating others.
Psychodynamic Approach
A perspective that emphasizes unconscious processes and childhood experiences in shaping behavior.
