What is a transversal?
A transversal is a line that crosses at least two other lines in the same plane.
What are corresponding angles?
Corresponding angles are pairs of angles that are in similar positions at each intersection where a transversal crosses two lines.
What are alternate interior angles?
Alternate interior angles are pairs of angles located between two lines on opposite sides of a transversal.
What are line segments?
A line segment is a part of a line that is bounded by two distinct endpoints.
What are rays?
A ray is a part of a line that starts at one point and extends infinitely in one direction.
What is the angle formed by two rays?
The angle formed by two rays is the figure formed by two rays that share a common endpoint, called the vertex.
What are vertical angles?
Vertical angles are the angles opposite each other when two lines cross. They are always equal.
What are complementary angles?
Complementary angles are two angles whose measures add up to 90exto.
What are supplementary angles?
Supplementary angles are two angles whose measures add up to 180exto.
What is a linear pair of angles?
A linear pair of angles are two adjacent angles formed when two lines intersect that add up to 180exto.
What are perpendicular lines?
Perpendicular lines are lines that intersect at a right angle, or 90exto to each other.
What are adjacent angles?
Adjacent angles are two angles that share a common vertex and a common side but do not overlap.
What are vertical angles?
Vertical angles are angles opposite each other when two lines intersect, and they are always equal in measurement.
What are adjacent angles?
Adjacent angles are two angles that share a common vertex and a common side but do not overlap.
