Beautiful Briny Sea

Beautiful Briny Sea is an artisan dry goods company based in Atlanta, Georgia. Our small-batch salt blends, sugars, and other culinary products are made with integrity, sustainability and a whole lot of love.

Our humble beginnings date back to 2011, when restauranteur Suzi Sheffield decided to seek new adventures while continuing to pursue her culinary passion. Armed with a boatload of creativity, a love for all things homemade, and a flair for whimsy, Suzi brought Beautiful Briny Sea and its beloved small-batch sea salts to life in a studio in Atlanta's Old Fourth Ward.

Since then, our product line has expanded to include twelve salt batches, as well as a handful of various other sundries and specialty goods. Suzi's always dreaming up new concoctions in the Salt Shack, so keep your ear to the ground for upcoming products, fun collaborations, and other new projects.

Val's Kale Chips

As a Georgia native, Val has always had a strong connection to wholesome foods that began in childhood. She even had her very own vegetable garden in grade school. Her deep appreciation for great taste mixed with a wealth of health lead her into creating Val's Kale Chips. Driven by purpose and creativity, the flavors of Val's are both bold and nourishing. Each batch is made from locally sourced kale and thoughtfully prepared without oils or preservatives. By using a gentle drying process instead of frying, the chips maintain their natural vitamins and minerals, delivering both flavor and function. Val's kale Chips embody more than clean eating, they represent balance, vitality and conscious living. With every bite, Valerie invites you into her world or wellness, intention, and joy. Love & Light in Every Bite.

Sleepy Mango Coffee

This coffee was created through a collaboration between Unearthing Farm and Sleepy Mango Coffee to celebrate the role farmers markets play in connecting people to the stories behind their food.
While coffee cannot be grown commercially in Georgia, it is an agricultural product that begins on a farm, much like the fruits, vegetables, flowers, and other goods found at markets across the state. This coffee reflects the same values that bring people to farmers markets each week: supporting small producers, understanding where products come from, and building stronger food communities. It is roasted, packaged, and sold in Georgia.
The coffee comes from El Salvador, where coffee farming has been part of rural communities for generations. It was selected for its approachable flavor profile and roasted in small batches in Decatur, Georgia by Sleepy Mango Coffee. As a medium roast, it offers notes of caramel, cocoa, and toasted almond with a smooth, balanced finish that works well black or with milk.
Sleepy Mango Coffee was founded by an immigrant from a coffee-growing region of South India and is built on the belief that coffee can connect people across cultures and communities. By sourcing thoughtfully and roasting locally, we aim to make specialty coffee more approachable while honoring the work of the farmers who grow it.
By purchasing this coffee, customers support a partnership between a Georgia farm, a Georgia roaster, and the farmers who produced the coffee itself. It is a small example of how local markets create meaningful connections between producers and communities, both close to home and around the world.
