Psychosocial Development
A theory by Erikson that outlines different stages of human development, each characterized by specific challenges.
Stage 1
Basic Trust vs Mistrust:The first stage (ages 1-2) where infants learn to trust their caregivers and the world around them.
Stage 2
Autonomy vs Shame and Doubt:The second stage (ages 2-4) where children explore their identity and develop self-confidence.
Stage 3
Initiative vs Guilt:The third stage (ages 4-5) where children seek approval for their actions and interests.
Stage 4
Industry vs Inferiority:The fourth stage (ages 5-12) where children assess their abilities and motivation in the world.
