E: Marx- capitalism relies on proletariat being exploited by bourgeoisie and FCC → don’t realise they’re being exploited and that inequality is inevitable → family socialises children into these views

R: Zaretsky- nuclear family provides safe haven from harsh capitalist workforce → helps them to deal with alienation and suffering = anger soaked up at home and not directed at capitalism which maintains it
