An area with a high concentration of a specific ethnic group distinct from surrounding areas.

Ethnicity

Identity with a group sharing cultural traditions from a common homeland.

Ethnoburb

A suburban area with a significant cluster of a particular ethnic population.

Ethnophobia

Fear of people of a particular ethnicity.

Genocide

The deliberate mass killing of a group to eliminate it.

Nationalism

Loyalty and devotion to a nation.

Racism

The belief that race determines human traits and that some races are superior.

A person who believes in racism.

Redlining

The practice of denying financial services to certain neighborhoods based on racial or ethnic composition.

Sharecropper

A farmer who rents land and pays with a share of the crops.

Triangular slave trade

A trade system where slaves, goods, and raw materials were exchanged between Africa, Europe, and the Americas.

Xenophobia

Fear of people from other countries.
