Tell me about yourself

I graduated high school last year in May, and then enrolled in CVCC so I can get my credits to transfer to ECU. I’m currently employed at CVS and have been there for almost a year. I was also employed at Chipotle for almost 2 years, so I'm familiar with food safety. And if I were to get hired I would keep my job at CVS but if I find myself liking it more here or getting more hours I would leave CVS.

Why do you want to work here?

It is such an important part of our community as it promotes physical activity and mental health. Also, because it is a hands-on job, I would get to work with people of all ages and help create a supportive environment for them.

what are your strengths?

I’m good at reading the room, noticing when customers need something before they ask, and keeping an eye on the flow of things. I also stay calm and steady even when it gets hectic, and I’m able to keep working smoothly without getting overwhelmed.

weakness

I tend to be judgmental of myself; for example, when I receive criticism, I take it personally. But as I get older, I’m also becoming more confident in myself in ways where I can take feedback and use it to grow.

Have you ever helped plan or run an event or program?

I personally have never ran an event, but I do help plan small gathering consiting of my freinds and family. I usally help set up and kind of cater to everyone. But I know that the focus is on making sure the people are feeling comfortable and taken care of.

What would you do if a program wasn’t going as planned?

I would first identify what caused the problem, and then figure out if it can be fixed, and then continue. If not I would try to find a solution to the problem and while also communicating to my higher ups what is happening and try to solve the problem there. I would also keep everyone doing the activty informed to kind of help things go more smoothly.
