Additive vs. subtractive color
Additive: mixing colors of light and utilizes transmitted light. Used in screens and light-producing devices.
Subtractive: creates color by absorbing some wavelengths of light and reflecting others. Used in pigments, dyes, or inks.

Define intensity
Brightness or dullness of a color, which can be produced by mixing it with its complementary color. You can make a color duller, you cannot make a color brighter.
