Acetylcysteine/ Mycomyst, mucosol, acetadote

May cause fever, anaphylaxis, flushing, erythema of skin, nausea, vomiting, urticaria and angioedema

Acyclovir/ zovirax

Most common adverse reaction of parenteral admin is local reaction at site of injection. This may usually be avoided by amin at concentrations of less than 7mg/ml. Other reported effects include headaches, rash, impaired renal function, nausea, adn vomiting

Adenosine/ adencocard, adenoscan

Possible adverse effects include flushing, headache, lightheadedness, dyspnea, chest pressure, hypotension, av block, st segment depression, palpitation, chest pain, nausea, and parenthesis. Rare adverse effects include asystole, atrial fibrillation, bradycardia, blurred vision, hypertension, increased intracranial pressure, metallic taste, pressure in groin, seizure, ventricular fib or tachycardia

Alteplase, Recombinant/ Activase

The most common and most serious of adverse events is hemorrhage. The overall clinical status and medical history of the patient should be assessed as fully as possible before inhiation of therapy. other adverse effects reported nausea, vomiting, hypotension, and fever

Amikacin Sulfate/ Amikin

Nephrotoxicity and ototoxicity (vestibular and cochlear). Neuromuscular blockade in patients receiving skeletal muscle relaxants. Hypomagnesemia, hypocalcemia, rarely anaphylactic shock. Isolated reports of blood dyscrasias.

Amiodarone/Cordarone

Nausea, vomiting, visual disturbances. Hypotension, cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, congestive heart failure, bradycardia, liver function test abnormalities, ventricula tachycardia, fatal pulmonary toxicity, and av block.

Amphotericin B/ Fungizone, Amphocin

Headache, chills, fever, hypotension, tachypnea, malaise, muscle and joint pain, anorexia, weight loss, dyspepsia, cramping, epigastric pain, nausea, and vomiting. May also nephrotoxicity, hypokalemia, anemia, and thrombophlebitis.

Ampicillin Sodium/ Principin

Hypersensitive reactions manifested by urticaria, edema, laryngospasm, bronchospasm, or hypotension, discontinue use and institute supportive treatment. May cause bacterial and fungal overgrowth. Severe diarrhea may be a sign of pseudomembranous colitis and warrants immediate attention. IM may cause skin rash, prurittiss and drug fever

Ampicillin Sodium and Sulbactam Sodium/ Unasyn

Pain at injection site, diarrhea, rash.

Atropine/ Atropen, isopto atropine, sal atropine

Arrhythmia, flushing, hypotension, palpitation, tachycardia, ataxia, coma, delirium, disorientation, dizziness, drowsiness, fever, hallucinations, headache, insomnia, rash, delayed gastric emptying, loss of taste, nausea vomiting, urinary retention, musculoskeletal weakness, blurred vision, dry eyes, mydriasis, increased ocular tension, dyspnea, pulmonary edema and anaphylaxis

Azithromycin/ zithromax

Diarrhea, nauseam vomiting, abdominal pain. IV pain at injections site and inflammation. Rare cases of angioedema and anaphylaxis

Aztreonam/ azactam

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and other Gi effects. Skin rash, phlebitis, and blood dyscrasias.

Bumentanide/ bumex

Hypokalemia, hypochloremia, and hypotremia along with muscle cramps, diziness, hypotension, headache, nausea, and encephalopathy. Hepatic abnormalities and rare occurences of blood dyscrasias, dose related ototoxicity and hyperglycemia

Buprenorhine HCL/ buprenex

Respiratory and circulatory depression are the chief hazardsto opiate agonist theapy as respiratory arrest, shock, and cardiac arrest have occured. Other CNS effects adverse effects include dizziness, sedation, coma, and dysphoria. Other sides effecccts include nausea, vomiting, consitpation, changes in bilary tract pressure and urinary retention

Butorphanaol Tartrate/ stadol

Respiratory and circulatory depression. Other CNS effects include dizziness, sedation, coma, dysphoria. Also, nausea, vomiting, constipation, changes in billary tract pressure, and urinary retention

Caspofungin/ cancidas

Headache, fever, chills, hypokalemia, decreased hemoglobin, increased serum alkalin phosphatase and transaminases, flushing, hypertension, hypotension, tachycardia, nausea, vomitng, diarrhea, anorexia, increased eosinophils, decreased neutrophils, and WBC, nephrotoxicity

Cefazolin Sodium/ ancef

Hypersensitivity reactions occur manifested by urticaria, edema laryngospasm, bronchospasm, or hypotension, discontinue use and insitiute supportive treatment. Diareha, nausea, vomiting, bactetrial and fungal overgrowth.

Cefepime/ maxepime

Local reactions include phlebitis, pain, and or inflamation. May cause rash

Cefotaxime Sodium/ claforan

Nausea, diarrhea, rash. Blood dyscrasias, hypothrombinemia, hepatic abnormalities and cutaneous reactions

Ceftriaxone Sodium/rocephen

Nausea, diarrhea, and rash. Blood dyscrasias, hypothrombinemia, and hepatic abnormalities and cutaneous reactions.

Cefuroxime Sodium/ ceftin, zinacef

Hypersensitivity reactions, urticaria, edema, laryngospasm, broncospasm, hypotension. Blood dyscrasias. Diarrhea

Chlorpromazine HCL/ thorazine

CNS depression and extraprymidal effects, tardive dyskinesia, hepatotoxity, local dermtitis reactions and arganulocytosis

Cidofovir/ vistide

Chills, fecer, headache, alopecia, rash, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, anemia, neutropenia, increased IOP, increased creatinine and proteninuria.

Ciprofloxacin/ cipro

Headache and restlessness. Arthropathies, cutaneous reactions, GI problems, and anaphylactoid reactions

Cisplatin/ platinol

Acute renal failure. Hearing loss, neurotoxicity, blurred vision, hiccups, increased LFTs and alopecia. Anaphylactoid reactions.

Clindamycin Phosphate/ cleocin

GI effects. Leukopenia, anemia, thrombocytopenia, hepatoxtoxity and rash

Dantrolene/ dantrium

Drowsiness, dizziness, rash, diarrhea, vomiting, muscle weakness, blurred vision, and respiratory depression

Daptomycin/ cubicin

GI problems of constipation, nausea, diarrhea, vommiting. Injection site reactions, headache, insomnia, rash. Fever dizziness, elevated CPK, secondary infections, hypotension, renal failure, anemia., dyspnea, and muscle pain

Darbepoetin Alfa/ Aransep

Infection, Hypertension, hypoetension, myalgia, headache, nausea, vomiting, and diarhea. Thromboti events, congestive heart failure, sepsis, and cardiac arrhythmia.

Dexamethasone Sodium/ decadrom

Arrhytmia, premature ventricuular contractions, nervousness, insomnia, irritability, hyperkinesia, psychosis, cushing hyperthyroidism, hypercalcemia, peptic ulcers, gi bleeding, pancreatitis, vaginitis, glaucomma, cataracts, pulmonary edema, cutaneous reactions lipodystropy, osteoporosis

Diazepam/ valium

Blood dyscrasias, thrombophlebits, sedation, hypotension, bradycardia, and respiratory depression

Digoxin/ lanoxin

Toxicity. GI effects, CNS effets, hyperkalemia, and arrhythmias. Gynecomastia, vaginal changes, and local cutaneous reactions.

Diltiazem HCL/cardiem

Hypotension, heart failure, peripheral edema, fatigue. Headaches, nausea, and skin reactions.

Diphenhydramine HCL/ benadryl

CNS depression, sensitivity reactinos, and anticholinergic effects. Blood dyscrasias.

Dobutamine/ dobutrex

Ectopic heartbeats, elevated heart rate, angina, chest pain, and elevated blood pressure. Irreversible blood pressure decrease. Local phelbitis and tissue necrosis.

Dolasetron/ anzemet

Headache, diarrhea, bradycardia, tachycardia, abnormal hepatic function, dizzness, fatigue, and sedation.

Dopamine HCL/ intropine

Angina, tachycardia, ectopic heartbeats, hypotension, angina, vasocontrstriction, palpitations, dyspnea, nausea, vomitng, and headaches.

Doripenem/ doribax

Headache and rash. Nausea, diarrhea, anemia, renal failure, elevated LFTs, and oral candidiasis. Steven Johnson Syndrome. interstitial pneumonia. and toxic epidermal necrolysis.

Doxycycline Hyclate/ vibramycin

Tooth discoloration, photosensitivity, nausea, and thrombophelbitis. Nephrotoxicity and hepatic toxicity.

Droperidol/ Insapine

Hypotension and tachycardia. Extrapyramidal reactions and respiratory depression

Drotrecogin Alfa/ Xigris

Antibody formation, ecchymosis, GI bleeding, hematoma, hematuria, petechiae, purpure, thromboembolism, and vaginal bleeding.

Enalaprilat/ vasotec

Angioedema,. Orthosatatic hypotension, headache, dizziness, GI effects, poor taste perception and cough.

Enoxaparin Sodium/lovenox

Local reaction at injection site. Also hemmorrhage, edema, and anemia

Epinephrine HCL/ adreniln, epipen

Edema, decreased cardiac output, plasma volume reduction. Headache, tremors, restlessness, reduced renal blood flow, and cardiac arrhythmias

Epotein Alfa/ procrit, epogen

Hypertension, venous fistula clotting, and function iron deficiency. Thrombocytosis, sweating, and bone pain.

Ertapenem/ invanz

Diarrhea, infused vein complicaiton, nausea, headache, baginitis, phlebitis/thrombophlebitis, and vomiting

Erythromcyin lactobionate/ erythrocin

Abdominal cramping, nausea, vomiting, also cholestatic jaundice, hepatitis, ototoxity, and hypersensitivity.

Esomeprazole/ nexium

Headache, dizziness, itching, flatulence, nausea, diarrhea, and xerostomia. Confusion, drowsineess, blurred vision, tachycardia, nausea and sweating

famotidine/ pepcid

Headache, dinniness, GI problems. Changes in hepatic function tests AST/ALT

Fentanylsublimaze

Respiratory and or circulatory depression. Other CNS effects dizzyness, sedation, coma, and dysphora. Nausea,vomiting, constipation, and urinary retention. Tolerance. Skeletal and thoracic muscle rigidity.

Filgrastim/neupogen

Bone pain, fever, elevtation in serum urinc acid, local cutaneous reactions, and splenomegaly.

Fluconazole/ diflucan

Nausea, vomiting, and elevation in LFTs. Hypokalemia with people with myelod leukemia. Fever, edema, pleural effuison, liguria, and arthralgia, mylagias

Foscarnet/ foscavir

Fever, headache, hypokalemia, hypocalcemia, hypomagnesema, hypophosphatemia, nausea, vomiting, diarhea, anemia, and granulocytoponea. Altered creartine clearance and renal function

Fosphenhytoin Sodium/ cerebyx

Cardiovascular collapse, CNS depression. Exfolitative dermatitis, stevens johnson syndrome, lymphoadenopathy, blood dyscrasias. hisuitism, gingival hyperplasia, thrombophlebitis, tissue nechrosi at injection sites. osteomalacia, gi effectis

Furosemide/ lasix

Fliud and electrolyte imbalances and hypotension, hypooglycemia, hyperuricemia, hypokalemia. Thrombophelbitis, blood dyscrasias, ototoxity.

Ganciclovir Sodium/ cytovene

Bone marrow suppresion (anemia, leukopenia, nuetorpenia, thrombocytopenia). Fever, edema, phlebitis, headache, disortientaiton, nausea, anorexia, rash, and myalgia

Gatifloxacin/ tequin

Headaches, dizziness, nausea, diarrhea, Steven Johnson syndrome, seizures, severe hyperglycemia, or hypoglyucemia, tachycardia, and torase de points

Gentamcin/ garamycin

Nephrotoxity, ototoxicity. Neuromuscular blockade. Hypomagnesmia, hypocalcemia, and ananpylatic shock. Blood dyscrasias.
