Information interview
is to find out facts and figures about a certain topic. what counts is interviewee’s expertise
→ interviewee: experts, politicians, people directly involved
Opinion interview
is to find out the opinion or viewpoint of the interviewee on a specific issue, event or development
Personality interview (portrait)
the focus is on the personality of the interview partner. the questions mainly deal with the life, character, and experiences of the interviewee.
research interview
research or double-check information, only aim is to get additional inf that u will use for writing a report, a commentary or a news item
Statement interview
yield an individual statement that will become part of another journalistic piece
