Physical Geography

Large-scale map
A map that shows a small area with more detail, useful for specific locations or features.
Absolute location
The precise geographic coordinates of a place, typically expressed in latitude and longitude.
Relative location
The position of a place in relation to other locations, often described using landmarks or distances.
Clustered distribution
A pattern of distribution where a phenomenon is concentrated in a specific area or location.
Dispersed distribution
A pattern of distribution where a phenomenon is spread out over a wide area.
Remote sensing
The acquisition of information about an object or area from a distance, typically using satellite or aerial imagery.
Global Positioning Systems (GPS)
A satellite-based navigation system that provides location and time information anywhere on Earth.
Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
A system designed to capture, store, analyze, and manage spatial or geographic data.
