Passage/Stimulus
The argument or information provided for each question
Argument
A set of statements made up of, at minimum, a main conclusion and evidence
Main Conclusion
A claim that expresses what the arguer is trying to persuade us to accept, whether or not it’s actually true
Evidence
Statements provided to show that the conclusion is true
Intermediate Conclusion
A claim that acts both as a conclusion and as evidence but cannot be the main conclusion
Background Information
Information provided to set the stage and orient us to the situation
