Breakdown a motion into separate pieces (1 large motion to multiple small motions)
What does the motion "Object to the Consideration of a Question" do?
Stop the consideration of a motion if it is deemed outrageous, irrelevant, or unprofitable
What does the motion "Parliamentary Inquiry" do?
Ask the salient points of a specific motion
What does the motion "Point of Order" do?
Call out a mistake in parliamentary procedure
What does the motion "Request for Information" do?
Ask the chair for further information regarding the motion (ex. the date of an event)
What does the motion "Suspend the Rules" do?
Temporarily set aside a standing rule to take action that otherwise couldn't be completed
What does the motion "Withdraw a Motion" do?
Remove a motion from the floor before it has been voted upon
What does the motion "Reconsider" do?
Allows a group to revisit a decision made earlier in the same meeting
What does the motion "Rescind" do?
Cancel or nullify a previously adopted action or order (take back an action)

Bring a motion to the floor that has previously been layed on the table
