Organizing
The second function of management, following planning, which involves arranging and distributing organizational resources to execute set tasks.
Primary Activities of Organizing
Arranging work activities and determining the specific human resources who will perform those activities.
Importance of Organizing
Includes establishing a chain of command, ensuring efficient resource allocation, clarifying duty areas for employees, and coordinating tasks across departments.
Steps in the Organizing Process
A process consisting of 5 steps: 1. Listing work tasks, 2. Dividing work, 3. Establishing departments, 4. Coordinating work, and 5. Performing evaluation and adjustment.
Listing Work (Menyenaraikan Kerja)
The organizing step where a manager identifies every specific task required to achieve the goals of the organization.
Work Distribution Principles
The allocation of tasks to employees must be conducted in a manner that is fair (ADIL) and balanced (SEIMBANG).
Evaluation and Adjustment (Penilaian dan Pelarasan)
A continuous organizing process to ensure human resource utilization remains optimal and maintains high productivity levels.
PESTEL Analysis Factors
Analytical framework consisting of Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Environmental (extPersekitaran), and Legal (extPerundangan) factors.
Control (Kawalan)
A system for obtaining feedback regarding actual performance compared to established standards to ensure planned objectives are achieved.
Importance of Control
Ensures global operations run smoothly, identifies activity flows for improvement, and monitors overall planning to reach organizational objectives.
Steps in the Control Process
A sequence of 4 actions: 1. Setting standards and measurement methods, 2. Measuring actual performance, 3. Comparing actual performance with set standards, and 4. Taking corrective actions.
Strategic Management
The process through which managers ensure the long-term direction of an organization and determine specific performance objectives.
Strategic Management Process Steps
Includes the following order: 1. Strategic Analysis, 2. Setting Strategic Targets, 3. Strategic Planning, 4. Strategic Implementation, and 5. Evaluating Strategic Achievement.
Timeliness (Ketetapan Masa)
A principle of control in an organization defined by the rule: 'Do the things at the right place and time.'
