Mandatory Verification
All flight attendants must verify their primary exit door is disarmed upon initial boarding of the aircraft.
LFA Responsibility
The Lead Flight Attendant (LFA) is responsible for ensuring the preflight check of all equipment is accomplished.
Cabin Discrepancy Form
A form used by the LFA to notify the pilot in command (PIC) of any cabin discrepancies.
Timely Reporting
Flight attendants must inform the LFA of any mechanical malfunctions or inoperative items in a timely manner.
Temperature Effect on Pressure
High temperatures increase pressure, and low temperatures lower pressure in cabin gauges.
Emergency Equipment Protocol
If emergency equipment is used, the PIC must be notified, and the equipment must be returned to its off position and secured.
Safety Event Report Requirement
A report that must be completed within 24 hours of any use of emergency equipment during a flight.
Preflight Check Requirement
All flight attendants are required to preflight emergency and safety equipment in their area of responsibility.
Cabin Discrepancy Notification
Flight attendants must notify the PIC of any cabin discrepancy observed during the flight.
Crew Change Protocol
Preflight checks must be done during crew changes, irregular operations, or by late arriving flight attendants.
