POSTMINIMALISM
An art movement that emerged in the 1960s and 1970s, characterized by its rejection of minimalism's strict forms in favor of a more expressive, material-oriented approach, often emphasizing imperfections and process. It remained deeply invested in physical materials and the body, preferring to loosen Minimalism's rigid, machine-made geometry through organic, process-oriented methods.
ART AND LANGUAGE
A collective of artists and theorists known for their exploration of art as a form of communication and investigation, often engaging in conceptual art and critical theory. This movement attacked Minimalism's reliance on physical objects by shifting art into the realm of philosophy, writing, and linguistics
