Graduated from UC San Diego with a degree in Political Science, took a real estate course, Gained hands-on experience as a legal assistant/intake lead at Manning Law with high-volume drafting/document review

Walk me through your experience at Manning Law.

Reviewed 2,200 client submissions for personal jurisdiction conflicts, tasked with drafting and finalizing pre-litigation demands/complaints, submitted 1,440 demand packets to defendants

What experience do you have with legal writing or drafting documents?

Drafted and finalized 60 complaints and pre-litigation demands per week, before finalizing any document, I would review it thoroughly for accuracy — checking defendant information, formatting, dates, citations, and links — and then get approval from the handling attorney and client

How do you ensure accuracy and attention to detail?

Department worked with automation team to create templates for our complaints and demands, automation tool would make mistakes, dates would be inverted, after troubleshooting and communication, we relied on the automation tool

Tell me about a time you communicated with clients or attorneys.

After running into bottlenecks, I created a schedule with clients, random submission drops created strain, created a consistent schedule, team was more prepared

Why do you want to work here / in landlord-tenant law?

Interested in landlord-tenant law after taking Real Estate Law course at UCSD, Course introduced me to concepts like unlawful detainers/lease obligations, Drawn to Kimball Tirey & St. John because of your long-standing reputation as a leader in California real estate law + your focus on providing high-quality service to property owners, I’m excited to bring my drafting and document review skills to a specialized landlord-side practice and grow within a firm that values professional development and work-life balance

What’s your greatest weakness?

My greatest weakness is not knowing how to pace myself in high-volume periods, I’ve learned to ensure I constantly communicate with my team about bottlenecks/collaborate with my team as much as possible, more confident in taking on challenges and performing efficiently

Assigned 50 pre-litigation demands/complaints by Christmas Eve, had two days to prepare a nearly week’s worth of demand packets, finished by handling multiple steps simultaneously and careful pacing
