rebellion
An act of violent or open resistance to an established government or ruler; an uprising or mutiny.
coup
A sudden, violent, and illegal seizure of power from a government; can also refer to a notable or successful stroke or move.
ceasefire
A temporary suspension of fighting, typically one during which peace talks take place; a truce.
Vengeance
Punishment inflicted or retribution exacted for an injury or wrong; revenge.
Treacherous
Guilty of or involving betrayal or deception; faithless or perfidious.
to overwhelm
To have a strong emotional effect on; to overpower or bury beneath a huge mass.

Succeeding or happening despite very low probability or extremely difficult circumstances.
To confront
