Past participles
Forms derived from verbs that can function as adjectives modifying nouns.
Infinitive endings
The endings -ar, -er, or -ir used to form past participles in Spanish.
Agreement in gender and number
Past participles must match the noun they modify in gender (-o or -a) and number (-s).
Irregular participles
Certain verbs that have non-standard forms for their past participles that must be memorized.
Examples of past participles
'Hecho' meaning 'made' and 'muy hecha' meaning 'well done' in context.
