Beverage
Any hot or cold drink examples include water, milk, juice, tea, coffee, cocoa, and carbonated drinks.
Purposes of Beverages
To complement meals, provide nutrients, provide refreshment, and for social purposes.
Hot Drinks
Beverage types such as Tea, Coffee, and Hot chocolate/cocoa.
Cold Drinks
Beverage types such as Iced tea, Fruit drinks, Carbonated drinks (sodas), and Milk shakes.
Camellia plant
The source of tea, which is grown in tropical climates.
Nutritional Value of Tea
Tea has little nutritional value unless milk or sugar is added; it contains Caffeine, Tannins, and Trace minerals.
Black Tea
A type of tea that is fermented longer, featuring a strong flavour and golden colour.
Green Tea
Tea made from leaves that are steamed, resulting in a less bitter taste and a greenish-yellow colour.
Oolong Tea
A type of tea that is partly fermented with a flavour profile between that of black and green tea.
