Habeas Corpus
The legal principle that protects individuals from arbitrary arrest and imprisonment.
Parliament
The legislative body in England that arose to help unify the country.
House of Lords
One of the two houses of Parliament in England, consisting of appointed and hereditary members.
House of Commons
The elected lower house of Parliament in England.
