Discrimination

Differential treatment of groups or individuals that is unequal or harmful

Prejudice

A preconceived belief about an individual or group; it includes a categorical rejection and is not subject to change based on new evidence

Selective Perceptions

Choosing to categorize all people based on a certain demographic as bad

Ecological Fallacy

People thinking that because it’s more common for that group, then it applies to all.

Scapegoating

Blaming another group for your problems or for your groups problems.

Stereotype

Exaggerations or over generalizations

Genocide

Trying to kill off a mass group of people

Expulsion

Trying to push people off society and culture.

Segreation

Groups can live together but they need separate accommodations

Dejure Segregation

Segregation by law, by jury

Defacto Segregation

Segregation by practice, have segregation by it’s not required by law

Assimilation

Minority group is expected to blend in to the dominant group

Pluralist

No one has more power than any one else. Everyone will be fairly represented.
