Luteinizing hormone (LH) regulates the reproductive systems by triggering ovulation in females and testosterone production in males

What is the function of FSH

Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) stimulates sperm production in males and ovarian follicle maturity in females

What is Cowper’s gland? What does it secrete?

Secretes an alkaline fluid that neutralizes and lubricates the urethra. it is found close to the beginning of the urethra

Define oogenisis

Cell division that matures an ova (egg), so that ova can be fertilized to start a pregnancy

What is the primary function of the testes?

To produce sperm and testosterone

What is the role of the epididimus? where is it found?

Stores and matures sperm, in a cluster at the side of the testes

What is the function of the Vas deferens?

Transports sperm form the epididimus to the ejactulatorty duct

What is the role of the seminal vessicles

Produces fuctose that nourishes sperm

What is the function of the prostate gland?

it makes alkaline fluid that makes up most of the semen

What is the function of the ovaries?

Produces Ova, estrogen and progesterone

transports ova from the ovaries into the uterus, is typically the site of fertilization. It may also be called an oviduct.
