A category of psychological disorders that include deficits in intellectual functioning and adaptive functioning, typically with onset before age 18.
Neurodevelopmental Disorders
A group of disorders characterized by psychotic symptoms such as delusions, hallucinations, and disorganized speech, with significant decline in functioning.
Schizophrenia Spectrum & Psychotic Disorders
Disorders involving a disruption in consciousness, memory, identity, or perception, often responding to trauma or stress.
Dissociative Disorders
A disorder characterized by at least one somatic symptom that is distressing or disrupts daily life, along with excessive thoughts and behaviors related to the symptom.
Somatic Symptom Disorder
An eating disorder marked by restricted food intake leading to significantly low body weight, intense fear of gaining weight, and distorted body image.
Anorexia Nervosa
An eating disorder involving recurrent binge eating followed by compensatory behaviors like self-induced vomiting, while being influenced by body shape and weight.
Bulimia Nervosa
Disorders characterized by intense sexual arousals to atypical objects or situations that cause distress or involve non-consent.
Paraphilic Disorders
A pattern of behavior in children and adolescents that violates the basic rights of others or major societal norms and rules.
Conduct Disorder
A mental disorder characterized by a problematic pattern of substance use leading to significant impairment or distress.
Substance Use Disorder
A disorder where a person exhibits two or more distinct personality states, along with gaps in the recall of everyday events or traumatic information.
