Pronoun

Direct Object
a "big" word that answers "who" or "what" about the verb.
Indirect Object
a "big" word that tells WHERE the direct object "is going."
Indirect Object Pronouns in Spanish...
me, te, le, nos, os, les
Where do you put the Indirect Object Pronouns when you are writing in Spanish?
It depends on the number of verbs in the sentence.
My Spanish sentence has one verb so the indirect object pronoun has to go....
directly before the conjugated verb.
My Spanish sentence has 2 verbs so the indirect object pronoun can go...
A) directly before the conjugated verb or
B) attached to the end of the 2nd verb (infinitive/non-conjugated).
Steps for finding the INDIRECT OBJECT and turning it into an INDIRECT OBJECT PRONOUN in Spanish are...
1) Translate the sentence!
2) label the verbs (action words) and count them!!!
3) ask self, "whom?" or "what?" about the action
4) the answer to that question is your direct object.
5) ask self, "where is the direct object going?" The answer to this question is the INDIRECT OBJECT
6) choose a PRONOUN (me, te, le, nos, os, les) to simplify the INDIRECT OBJECT
6) place the pronoun in the correct spot in your Spanish sentence (1 verb = 1 place, 2 verbs = 2 possible places).
7) ask self, "Do I need to use a CLARIFIER?"
